# Transaction Status Lifecycle

## Statuses

| Status | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `PENDING` | Awaiting policy evaluation and approvals |
| `APPROVED` | All approvals received; queued for execution |
| `DECLINED` | Rejected by an approver or policy |
| `SIGNED` | Cryptographically signed; broadcasting |
| `SUBMITTED` | Broadcast to blockchain; awaiting confirmation |
| `WAITING_CONFIRMATION` | Incoming transaction detected; awaiting block confirmations |
| `COMPLETED` | Fully confirmed and finalized |
| `FAILED` | Execution or confirmation failed |
| `DROPPED` | Replaced (e.g., speed-up / retry) |

## Outgoing Transaction Flow (Transfers, Swaps, Contract Calls)

Includes: Vault-to-Vault (Internal) Transfers, Exchange-Involved Transfers

**Happy path:** `PENDING` → `APPROVED `→  `SIGNED` → `SUBMITTED` → `COMPLETED`

**Failure:** `PENDING` →`APPROVED` → `SIGNED` → `SUBMITTED` → `FAILED`

**Rejection:** `PENDING` → `DECLINED`

## Incoming Transaction Flow (Deposits)

`WAITING_CONFIRMATION` → `COMPLETED`
