# Adding a new Policy Template

> [!NOTE]
>
> Only admins and owners of an account can add new policy templates.

To add a new template

* Head over to the **Policies** tab
* Click on the **+ Template** button
* The setup for a template remains similar to that of a Vault
  * Name the template
  * Add **Owners** and **Viewers**. These users will automatically have access to the Vaults that use this template.
  * Setup policies
  * Review and submit
